Getting started

How does renting a washer and dryer work?

You choose an equipment package on this site, tell us about your laundry hookups, and pay the first month plus any one-time charges through Stripe. We then contact you to confirm a delivery date, bring the machines, and install them on your existing hookups. After that you are billed the same monthly amount automatically until you give notice to end the rental.

Do you run a credit check?

No. We do not run a credit check to start a rental. You do need a valid payment method that we can bill each month, and a delivery address inside our service area.

Is there a minimum rental period?

Each equipment package lists its own minimum term on its page and in your order summary. The minimum term is also written into your rental agreement. If you end the rental before the minimum term is up, the terms of your agreement apply.

What do I pay today and what do I pay each month?

Your order summary shows both figures before you check out. Typically you pay the first month plus any one-time delivery and installation charge today, and then the monthly rate on the same date each month. Taxes, if applicable, are calculated at checkout.

Can I rent for a property I manage rather than my own home?

Yes. Landlords and property managers rent from us for single-family homes and units between tenants. Contact us and tell us how many units you need and where they are, and we will work out the details with you.

Delivery and installation

How soon can you deliver?

You pick a preferred date and a second-choice date during booking. Those are requests, not confirmations — we contact you afterwards to confirm an actual date and an arrival window based on our route schedule and equipment availability.

What do you need from me on delivery day?

Someone 18 or older needs to be home for the whole arrival window. Clear a path from the door to the hookups, and make sure the hookups themselves are accessible. If you are in a building with an elevator or a loading dock, tell us in the booking notes so we can reserve what we need.

Will you move or remove my old washer and dryer?

Tell us during booking whether you have existing machines and whether they need to be moved. Whether we can move or haul away old equipment, and any charge for doing so, depends on your situation and is confirmed by our team before the delivery date.

What hookups do I need?

A washer needs hot and cold water connections plus a drain and a standard grounded 120V outlet. An electric dryer needs a 240V dryer outlet and a vent duct. A gas dryer needs a gas laundry connection with a shutoff valve, a 120V outlet, and a vent duct. Each equipment page lists the specific requirements.

What if my space will not fit the machines?

Measure the opening — including the doorway you have to get through — and compare it to the space requirements on the equipment page. If it is tight, contact us before you book. A stacked laundry center fits many apartment closets that a side-by-side set will not.

Service and repairs

What happens if the washer or dryer stops working?

Sign in to your account and submit a service request describing the problem. We review it, contact you, and schedule a service visit. What is covered, and any charges that may apply, is set out in your rental agreement.

What should I do if I see water leaking, sparks, or smell burning or gas?

Stop using the appliance immediately. Unplug it if the outlet is safe to reach, and shut off the water supply valves if water is leaking. If you smell gas, do not touch light switches or appliances — leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility from outside. Then submit a service request and flag the safety issue so we prioritise it.

Can I repair the machine myself?

No. The equipment belongs to us and is covered by your rental agreement. Please submit a service request instead of attempting a repair.

Can I move the machines to another room or another address?

Contact us first. Moving rented equipment yourself risks damage to the machines and to your home, and your rental agreement covers where the equipment is installed.

Billing and ending a rental

How do I update my card or download an invoice?

Sign in and open the Billing page, then click through to the secure Stripe billing portal. You can change your payment method, update billing details, and view or download every invoice there. We never see or store your full card number.

What happens if a payment fails?

Stripe emails you and retries the payment on its normal schedule. The fastest fix is to update your card in the billing portal, which usually lets the retry go through. If a payment stays unpaid, the terms of your rental agreement apply.

How do I end my rental?

Sign in and use the "End a rental" page to give notice. You choose a requested end date and a pickup date, both on or after the earliest date allowed by the notice period in your rental agreement. Submitting the form is a request: we confirm the effective end date and the pickup window, and billing continues according to your agreement until that confirmed date.

Why can I not cancel directly in the Stripe billing portal?

Ending a rental involves collecting the equipment, not just stopping a payment. Cancellation is turned off in the billing portal so that every lease end goes through the notice and pickup workflow in your account, which is what your rental agreement describes.

What do I need to do before pickup?

Empty both machines, remove anything stored on or around them, and clear a path to the door. Someone 18 or older needs to be present during the arrival window we confirm with you.
