Who we are

Laundry Rentals LLC (trading as Laundry Rentals) operates https://laundry-rentals.com and rents laundry equipment in the Austin, TX area. You can reach us at hello@laundry-rentals.com or +1-512-555-0142, or by post at 1000 E 5th St, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78702.

Information we collect

When you book a rental

Your first and last name, email address, and phone number.
The installation address, including apartment or unit number, city, state, and ZIP code.
Answers to the installation questionnaire: property type, floor number, elevator access, whether machines are already present, hookup and outlet types, gas and vent connections, and any access notes you write.
Your preferred and alternate delivery dates.
A record that you accepted the rental terms, authorised recurring billing, and accepted this policy — with the timestamp, the agreement version, your browser's user-agent string, and a truncated IP address (the final octet is zeroed before storage).

When you contact us or request service

Your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and ZIP code.
The content of your message or service description, and any dates you request.

Automatically

A session cookie after you sign in. It contains a random token only — no personal information is encoded in it.
Standard server logs. Personal fields are masked before they are written (email addresses become ab***@example.com, names and addresses are replaced). Secrets and payment data are never logged.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes request metadata such as IP address for network security and abuse prevention.

What we deliberately do not collect

Card numbers. Payment details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and billing pages and never pass through our servers. We store only Stripe's identifiers for your customer and subscription records.
Passwords. Sign-in uses a one-time emailed link instead.
Advertising or analytics trackers. This site sets no third-party advertising cookies and runs no analytics scripts.
Social sharing widgets or embedded third-party content.

How we use your information

To create, deliver, service, bill, and end your rental.
To contact you about delivery dates, service appointments, and pickups.
To send transactional email: receipts, confirmations, and sign-in links.
To keep a record of the agreement you accepted, in case of a dispute.
To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the site.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Service providers we share data with

Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not authorise any of them to use your information for their own marketing.

Cookies

This site sets two kinds of cookie, both strictly necessary:

Session cookie (lr_session, or lr_admin_session for staff). Set after you sign in, marked HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. It holds a random token that identifies your session on our server and expires automatically.
Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie to verify that form submissions come from a person rather than an automated script.

No advertising, profiling, or analytics cookies are used.

How long we keep your information

[REPLACE] — the owner must set retention periods with their attorney and accountant. As a starting point, consider: rental and billing records retained for the period required by Texas tax and business-records law; service records retained for the life of the rental plus a defined period; sign-in tokens and expired sessions deleted automatically (this application already purges them); contact messages retained for a defined period after resolution.

How we protect your information

All traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS.
Sign-in tokens and session tokens are stored only as keyed cryptographic digests, so a database copy alone does not yield working credentials.
Every database query uses bound parameters, and every customer-facing query is scoped to your own account.
Staff access to the administrator area is restricted by role and recorded in an audit log.
Personal fields are masked in application logs.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We do commit to notifying affected customers as required by applicable law if a breach occurs.

Your rights

[REPLACE] — the applicable rights depend on where your customers live and on whether the business meets the thresholds in the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or other state privacy laws. Have an attorney confirm which of the following apply and how requests must be handled and verified: access, correction, deletion, portability, appeal of a refused request, and the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising.

Children

This service is intended for adults entering a rental agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the version number at the top of this page and, where required, notify active customers by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means the updated policy applies.
