Rental terms

Agreement version 2026-01-01

1. Parties and equipment

This agreement is between Laundry Rentals LLC ("we", "us") and the customer named at checkout ("you"). It covers the laundry equipment we deliver and install at the installation address you provide, together with any equipment we later substitute.

[REPLACE] — define ownership of the equipment, that it remains our property at all times, and that it may not be sold, sublet, pledged, or moved.

2. Term and minimum rental period

The rental begins on the date the equipment is installed. Each equipment package has a minimum rental term, stated on its page and in your order summary before you pay.

[REPLACE] — state what applies if the rental ends before the minimum term expires, including any early-termination amount and how it is calculated.

3. Charges and billing

The monthly rental amount and any one-time delivery, installation, or deposit charges are shown in full before you complete checkout. By completing checkout you authorise us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your saved payment method:

  • the first month plus any one-time charges, at checkout; and
  • the monthly rental amount automatically on the same billing date each month, until the rental ends under section 6.

Prices exclude applicable sales tax. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file; you can update it at any time through the billing portal linked from your account.

[REPLACE] — late fees, returned-payment fees, what happens after a failed payment, how many retries are attempted, and at what point we may suspend service or repossess. Texas law constrains several of these; do not guess.

4. Deposits

Where a package carries a refundable security deposit, the amount is shown before you pay and is charged as a one-time line item at checkout.

[REPLACE] — the conditions for refund, the timeframe for returning it, and the deductions that may be made.

5. Delivery, installation, and access

Delivery and installation dates you select during booking are requests. We confirm an actual date and arrival window with you before dispatching a crew. You agree to:

  • have someone 18 or older present for the confirmed arrival window;
  • provide a clear path to the laundry area and safe access to the hookups;
  • ensure the electrical outlet, water connections, gas connection where applicable, and vent duct are already present, working, and code-compliant;
  • give accurate installation information — incorrect hookup details are the most common cause of a failed delivery.

[REPLACE] — charges for a failed or rescheduled delivery, what happens if the equipment cannot be installed on arrival, and liability for pre-existing conditions in the property (flooring, plumbing, wiring, vents).

6. Ending the rental

To end the rental you must give at least 30 calendar days' notice through your account at https://laundry-rentals.com/account/lease-end. The workflow is:

  1. You submit a lease-end request choosing a requested end date and a requested pickup date. Neither may be earlier than 30 calendar days from the date notice is given, or the end of the minimum term if that falls later.
  2. Submitting the request is not itself a cancellation. We review and confirm it.
  3. We confirm the effective end date and the pickup date and arrival window, and email you a confirmation number.
  4. Billing continues under this agreement until the confirmed effective end date.
  5. We collect the equipment on the confirmed pickup date.

Because ending a rental requires collecting equipment and not merely stopping a payment, subscription cancellation is disabled in the Stripe billing portal. The portal is for payment methods, billing details, and invoices only.

[REPLACE] — our right to terminate, notice we must give you, what happens if you move without notifying us, and what happens if the equipment cannot be collected on the confirmed date.

7. Your responsibilities while renting

  • Use the equipment only for ordinary domestic laundry, in the installed location.
  • Do not move, modify, repair, or attempt to service the equipment yourself.
  • Keep the vent duct and lint filter clear.
  • Report faults promptly through your account.
  • Stop using the equipment immediately if there is a safety concern (see section 9).

[REPLACE] — liability for damage, loss, or theft; whether renters or homeowners insurance is required; and any responsibility for water damage arising from hoses or connections.

8. Service and repairs

Report a fault by submitting a service request from your account. We review it, contact you, and schedule a visit.

[REPLACE] — this is the most important section to get right. Define exactly what is covered, what is excluded, whether any visit or part is chargeable, what happens if a fault is caused by misuse or by a defect in the property, and whether a loaner or replacement is provided while a machine is out of service. Do not publish coverage or response-time promises the business cannot meet.

9. Safety

Stop using the equipment immediately and contact us if you notice:

  • smoke, sparks, or a burning smell;
  • water leaking from the machine or its connections;
  • the smell of gas near a gas dryer.

If you smell gas, do not operate switches or appliances. Leave the building and call 911 or your gas utility from outside before contacting us. If there is a fire, call 911.

10. Limitation of liability and disclaimers

[REPLACE] — warranty disclaimers, limitation and exclusion of damages, and any cap on liability. These clauses are heavily regulated and are frequently unenforceable if drafted incorrectly. Have an attorney draft them.

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.

12. Changes to these terms

[REPLACE] — how and when terms may change for an existing rental, and what notice is given.

13. Governing law and disputes

[REPLACE] — governing law, venue, and any dispute-resolution or arbitration provisions.
