Before you book

Check which connection you have before booking: a large 240V outlet means electric, a gas pipe with a shutoff valve means gas.
An existing vent duct to the outside is required. Our dryers are vented, and we do not cut new vent openings.
You need about 29 inches of width and 30 inches of depth, plus room behind the machine for the duct and the connection.
For a gas dryer, the shutoff valve must be accessible. If it is buried behind cabinetry, tell us in the booking notes.
A gas dryer also needs an ordinary grounded 120V outlet for the controls and drum motor.
Clean or replace a clogged vent duct before delivery — a blocked duct is the most common cause of a dryer that "takes too long".

Questions about this equipment

How do I know whether I need an electric or a gas dryer?

Look at what is behind your existing dryer, or at the hookups if the space is empty. A large 240V outlet with three or four slots means electric. A small gas pipe with a shutoff valve, plus an ordinary 120V outlet, means gas. If both are present you can choose either.

What is the difference between a 3-prong and a 4-prong dryer outlet?

A 4-prong outlet (NEMA 14-30) is the modern standard and includes a separate ground. A 3-prong outlet (NEMA 10-30) is common in homes wired before the mid-1990s. We can supply the right cord for either — just tell us which one you have, or say you are unsure and we will check.

Do you install ventless or heat-pump dryers?

Our rental dryers are vented, which means an existing duct to the outside is required. If your space has no vent, contact us before booking and we will tell you what we can do.

Can you connect the gas line for me?

Our crew connects the dryer to an existing, accessible gas laundry connection with a working shutoff valve. If local code requires a licensed gas fitter for the work your situation needs, that is arranged separately and is not part of the delivery.
