Before you book

The unit is about 27 inches wide, 31 inches deep, and 76 inches tall. Closet doors must open at least 27 inches.
Measure the height to the lowest shelf or soffit. A shelf mounted low in the closet is the usual reason a stacked unit will not fit.
You need both a grounded 120V outlet for the washer and a 240V dryer outlet, and both need to be inside or beside the closet.
An existing vent duct is required. Closet installs often have a short duct that is easy to check — make sure it is clear.
The unit is tall and heavy. If your building requires a reserved elevator or a certificate of insurance, tell us the building name when you book.
Availability on stacked units is more limited than on side-by-side sets, so book earlier if you can.

Questions about this equipment

How do I measure my laundry closet?

Measure three things: the width of the closet opening with the doors open, the depth from the back wall to the front of the closet, and the height from the floor to the lowest obstruction such as a shelf. The opening is usually the tightest constraint, not the closet interior.

Is a stacked unit two machines or one?

Our stacked rental is a laundry center: a washer and a dryer built into a single cabinet with one footprint. It is delivered and installed as one piece.

Can you stack a separate washer and dryer for me?

Stacking two standalone machines requires a manufacturer-specific stacking kit and is not something we do as part of a standard delivery. Contact us and we will tell you whether it is possible for your space.

Does a stacked unit dry as much as a full-size dryer?

A stacked laundry center has a smaller drum than a standalone full-size dryer, so loads are smaller. For most one- and two-person households in an apartment that is not a practical limitation.
